The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas : BOOK REVIEW

I have never thought a book that I bought not knowing much about its plot, will leave me both impressed and speechless. I knew there was a movie of the same name but I’ve never watched it so what attracted me the most (beside the cover ) was what's written on the back and I quote :

« The story of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is very difficult to describe. Usually we give some clues about the book on the cover, but in this case we think that would spoil the reading of the book. We think it is important that you start to read without knowing what is about. If you do start to read this book, you will go on a journey with a nine year old boy called Bruno ( Though this isn’t a book for nine-year olds). And sooner or later you will arrive with Bruno at fence. Fences like this exist all over the world. We hope you never have to cross such a fence. »

And I was sold, completely sold. And I enjoyed it very much.

To those who need more details to get you going : The story is set in Berlin, 1942 (does this date ring any bells ?) where Bruno and his family move to a new house far away due to his father’s job. One day, he goes to explore his surroundings and stumble at a fence where on the other side, we find very different people all wearing striped pyjamas. At that fence, he meets a boy and forms a friendship that will unravel truths that will leave you heartbbroken.

So, what did I think about the book ?

Throughout the book, we follow the story from the innocent eyes of a nine year old boy who seems unaware of the horrible actions happening around him. John Boyn describes the scenes from the perspective of Bruno thus not giving us exactly what is going on and it’s up to us to figure out the meaning between the lines and everytime I figured out a clue or two, I gasped engrossed even further in the story and became impatient to see how everything will tie together.

It’s safe to say that with no knowledge of what happens in the the year 1942 that it will be difficult to understand the story making it pointless in your eyes.

Behind the simplicity that this book dispose of, it is truly a deep and powerful book that have left me buffled and emotionally scarred. I am still thinking about it and I am sure it will haunt me for a long time. Never did I finish a book with a huge slap on my face.

You will notice at first that the book maybe uneventful but the writing will keep you invested and soon you’ll find yourself still flipping the pages. Moreover, it’s a quick read (quick chapters) that you could get it done in a day or two .

However, the only thing that irritated me throughout the book is how selfish or oblivious Bruno can be. The way his friend lives his life is clearly different from his yet he keeps ignoring the clues thrown at him indicating how severe his friend’s life is. But then again, I understand that it has a certain purpose in the story, that without it the story wouldn’t be the same and we wouldn’t have that same chilling message at the end.

Overall, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a great read that by the time you will be done, your world will be upside down and you will question all you might know about humanity, giving you a wake up call to a land you might know as ‘’reality’’.
Happy Reading !

LEARN SPANISH IN 3 MONTHS : HOW TO PREPARE

Languages are very special to my heart. I have this insane dream of becoming fluent in 6 or more languages. As far as I’m concerned, every language is a different personality you can become, a different way to communicate and a new way to the heart of a new culture.

Moreover, I always found that learning the language on your own is very rewarding and challenging but in a good way, though I never commit to a plan or time table, therefore I give up easily to the busy schedule of school, social life (by which I mean watching TV-shows) and life in general.

I tried to learn Korean this couple of years and I did manage to learn the basic words and phrases and what not but this time I want to leave that aside for another time and tackle a language I wanted to learn since I was a kid and which is going to be easier to learn: SPANISH.

I decided that I would share with you the little experiment I am going to debut on October 1st until December 31st 2016 which means I am giving myself 3 month  to learn Spanish as much as I can and become conversational. I can already hear cynical reactions but I assure you that I am not expecting full results however I am mostly doing this for the joy and fun that this experience will bring me.

To all those who are interested to learn a new language and they’re not necessarily enrolling in a language center, then these blog series might be of an interest to you.

I am going to take you with me on this experiment sharing with you all the updates related to my Spanish learning starting with how I will prepare for it.

So here we go!

1.    Prepare a customized notebook :

It’s easier to write down all the phrases and words you will learn with the translation in a little book and take it around with you everywhere. Whenever you have free time, you can revise them. It will be your personalized language oasis.

2.    Find YouTube Channels and Language Sites :

Nowadays, you can find everything on the internet and being the digital generation that we are, we learn from our computers more than we do from a classroom. I am going to start by learning from channels such as Learn Spanish with SpanishPod1.com, Spanish Butterfly, Fatsbreak Spanish and The Spanish Blog.

3.    Find someone to speak with :

This is an important step in learning a language. Practicing it with someone allows you to exercise your tongue and use what you learn in a conversation. From my side, my uncle and aunt will be helping me as they are fluent in the language and hopefully I’ll find more people along the way.

4.    Listen to music and watch TV-shows :

No matter what anyone can tell you, there’s nothing better like listening to music or watching TV-shows to help you enforce the language you’re learning (I’ve been there, done that). I haven’t found any Spanish shows that I liked yet but I have been definitely listening to Spanish music and I can’t wait to fully immerse myself in it.

5.    Motivation :

Oh! The very thing that can help make this or break it. I know I have to muster a lot of willpower sometimes to keep up with a personal project but this time I am determined to make this happen. I set a time table for myself and some tools to help me keep daily track of this experiment (May the odds be ever in my favor)

Those were the 5 most important things to get me started on my 3 month self teaching Spanish.

What about you ? Which language you would like to start learning ? Join me

EAT PRAY LOVE BOOK REVIEW

I posted recently that I started a reading challenge this year. If you haven’t read it yet, do so here. So far, I have read a lot of books but never did a proper book review on any of them on the blog and I am very happy to start my book reviewing with EAT PRAY LOVE.

First thing first, what’s the book about?

“In her early thirties, Elizabeth Gilbert had everything a modern American woman was supposed to want-- husband, country home, successful career--but instead of feeling happy and fulfilled, she felt consumed by panic and confusion. This wise and rapturous book is the story of how she left behind all these outward marks of success, and of what she found in their place. Following a divorce and a crushing depression, Gilbert set out to examine three different aspects of her nature, set against the backdrop of three different cultures: pleasure in Italy, devotion in India, and on the Indonesian island of Bali, a balance between worldly enjoyment and divine transcendence.” Goodreads.

So what did I think?

I picked up this book after going through a though period. See every once in a while, a dark cloud will follow me everywhere and I can't seem to shake it off so in a moment of frustration and complete spontaneity, I started reading this book and it instantly made me feel ten times better. Elizabeth takes you on her journey to find peace and self-reconciliation recollecting her pain and sorrows that lead her to the decision to spend every four month in a destination and to write about it: Italy where she indulges herself in the finest food, India where she learns how to meditate, and Bali where she finds love, making it a yearlong travel. You learn a lot of facts and history about the three cultures that you almost feel like you’re part of the journey.

I believe that everyone can read this book so don’t get me wrong if I say that this is a book every girl and woman should read. Almost all the reviews I have checked pointed it out and until I actually dived in the book that I‘ve completely gotten it. She understood me, she fully understood me and I couldn’t believe it! I am not divorced, heck I’ve never been married, I am a 22 year old student and I lead a different life from her and yet I feel like every time she describes her emotions, her feelings and her experiences, I felt like she can see through me and by the end of the book, I wanted to hang out with her, and have a discussion with her.

Eat Pray Love is about finding oneself, finding balance, happiness and complete self love. You will learn that no matter what, you ought to love yourself, accept your flaws and indulge in the little things.

Though the writing style is nothing too special, Elizabeth writes this book like she’s telling her story to one of her friends. Moreover, the chapters are not too long. My only dislike is that the font is too small and the words are too crowded that I found it hard to read. I am not sure if all the editions are like that but it isn’t a huge turn-off anyway.

When you’ll finish this book, you will want to pack your bag and leave on a similar quest to feed your body, mind and soul with the good energy dispersed out in the world. However, when you’ll finish this book, you would have already done that.

Although it's not an excellent book, EAT PRAY LOVE remains a nice break from the daily mundane routine of life and gives you a refill to both your spirit and perspective.

Happy Reading my friends !

9 BEST TV-SHOWS TO BINGE-WATCH

If there is something I’m really good at is binge watching a tv-show aka watching several episodes to several seasons at once and detaching myself completely from reality. What can I say? I am what they call pristine talent.

So continuing with the binge-watch series, I am listing 9 of the best tv-shows you need to watch asap and I mean the greatest, most intriguing and well worth of your time kind of tv-shows.

They have incredible script, top-notch directing style, excellent acting, brilliant characters and lastly amazing plots.

I am sure you’re familiar with most of these shows as they established for themselves a strong presence around the internet. You might be sick of hearing about them or you have already watched them or maybe you don’t care at all.Anyway, let me run this down one by one and tell you (in brief manner, don’t you worry) why they deserve to be watched.

   1.  Stranger Things :

Let me start by the latest show to wreck havoc on the internet that it almost broke it. Not too long ago this show was talked about by everybody that I will be surprised if you haven’t watched it or at least heard of it. Set in the 1980’s, it follows the disappearance of a child in a small town where his friends, his mother and the police chief start looking for him and confront therefore dark government agencies and dark supernatural forces. In the eight episodes of the first season, you will follow an intriguing adventure filled with suspense while paying homage to the great movies of the 80’s pop culture. You will fall in love with the chemistry between the kids, the soundtrack and the overall feel of the show that will grip you tighter until you wouldn’t get enough.

      2. Game of Thrones :

If there’s a show that is most talked about, most watched or most referenced is Game of Thrones. For the last two years, my newsfeed has been blowing up with everything related to the show especially spoilers and that’s why I watch it the moment an episode comes out and not binge watch the whole season at once which is difficult because the sooner you finish one, you will want more. For those who are not familiar with it (which rock have you been living under?), the show is about several families who manipulatively fight their way for the most glorious " iron throne" and meanwhile ancient creatures called the “white walkers” rise again threatening the world. That was just the very incredibly short version but if I had to give you more details: Game of Thrones has violence, blood, dragons, unbelievably kick ass characters, nudity *cough*cough* and great political schemes. If you’re sensitive to one of these things, then don’t be. Just watch it because you’ll be messing out.

  3.  Narcos :

What a gem this show is! It’s brilliant in every way and in every angle. Set in Colombia, it’s based on the real story of Pablo Escobar, a drug lord and his interactions with DEA agents, cartels and his country. Wagner Moura does a phenomenal job playing him as you will fall in love with him and root for him despite his notorious and horrible tendencies. Moreover, the archival footage gives the show so much realness and the gut- wrenching plots will keep you on your heels at all time. And if you don’t want to learn Spanish after you’re done with this show, then what were you watching? Cause we’re weren’t watching the same show.

4. Breaking Bad:

This is another show that established a strong reputation and made its way to the watch-list of every show lover out there but it had to make the cut here (it’s the best shows list to binge watch after all). It tells the story of a chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with lung cancer knowing that his ultimately going to die, he partners with his former student to produce and sell methamphetamine to secure his family’s financial future thus beginning a life of crime and drug trafficking which conflicts with his morals. This show is by far "THE SHOW" with the best cinematography I have ever seen ever. It’s a masterpiece in every sense of the word without mentioning the characters development is outstanding. You are really in for an amazing treat.

      5.  Mr Robot :

Elliot Anderson, a cybersecurity engineer and hacker who suffers from social anxiety disorder and clinical depression and works at a major corporation. He gets recruited by an underground hacker group to destroy the biggest client of the place he works for. These types of plots intrigue me the most as they tackle psychological disorders and in Mr Robot we follow a very complex character and its views on humans, society and capitalism and his quest to eradicate the latter. Rami Malek plays the role brilliantly that it will engross you fully in the storyline and then flips your world around. The show is a cross between the movie "Fight Club" and "The Matrix" among other things and it combines all of their great elements to concoct a fantastic thriller. Season 2 has just wrapped up and I didn’t watch it yet so I am most excited to binge-watch it.

    6.The Walking Dead :

Don’t get me wrong! I love all the shows mentioned above and below but this one is my absolute favorite of all time. AMC always manage to bring shows that are incredibly well directed with outstanding character development and it’s the two main strongest points in The Walking Dead. After several months of being in a coma, Rick Grimes, a sheriff deputy awakens and find himself in a zombie apocalypse. He set out to find his family which he does in addition to a group of survivors and becomes their leader. We follow these survivors and meet new ones and see how they cope with the terrifying new world. Watch a couple of episodes and you will be consumed with the thought of “how would I survive in a zombie apocalypse?” and you will convince yourself that it will happen very soon. If you have already watched the show then read the comics… I repeat, read the comics, they are a different experience with even more intense plots.

 7.    Preacher :

Another great AMC show so you better believe it will deliver quality television. It’s also based on a comic book and it’s about a preacher who enlists the help of a vampire and his ex-girlfriend to find God after some supernatural events in his small town occurs. It’s a dark comedy that might be somewhat controversial but keep an open mind and the show will really appeal to you. The soundtrack on this one is just on point and the weirdness and the insanity that happens during the show is what makes it unique and captivating to watch. A must see!

8.    Orange is the new black :

A change from the thriller and supernatural shows listed above, Orange is the new black is a comedy-drama that is based on a memoir of a woman who is sentenced to fifteen months in prison after committing a crime ten years ago. There, she encounters various inmates who are different in every way and that will become your second family in matter of episodes. Their stories differ from a woman to another which lets the show a chance to tackle serious issues and compelling plots while also being comedic and entertaining. They have created a world of their own inside this prison and once you’re in, there’s no escape.

9.   Vikings :

And to all the fans of historical kick ass dramas, this last pic is for you. Now, a lot of people try to compare Vikings to Game of Thrones which is a silly thing to do because they’re very different from each other. The only common thing is they are both amazing shows. Vikings is inspired by the tales of the raiding, trading, and exploring Norsemen of early medieval Scandinavia focusing on the exploits of Ragnar Lothbrok ( who is basically one of the greatest characters ever, I mean just the sound of his name says it all ), a Nordic farmer as he rises to become the king of his tribe. The series starts slow that you might not get used to the pacing but as soon as you do, it will be too late because it’ll just keep getting better and better. If you can mind the blood and the violence, the cinematography will transport you back in time and the character of Ragnar Lothbrok will just fully intrigue you and so are the Nordic men.

God only knows how difficult was to assemble this list as I consider all tv-shows to be my babies (confession of tv-show addict) but these are the ones that brought me the outmost joy and fulfilled all my viewing dreams.

And now, it’s all up to you. Which show has appealed to you the most ?

Happy Binge Watching my friends

READING CHALLENGE 2016

Welcome back,
Back in the very beginning of january, I have decided to take on a reading challenge. It was a spantaneous moment where I got this burst of motivation and "what the hell not" kind of vibes. It’s not like I don’t normally read, oh no on the contrary I read quite a lot (books but mostly articles and short stories) and it’s affecting my social skills quite a bit. The problem was I didn’t usually buy books ( or commit to them) and I either read from apps like wattpad or Ibooks or I borrow them if I can, so this year I want to buy as much as I can and dare to read the books I always wanted to read for finally immersing myself in what I truly love to do.

Another reason why I am determined to read more is my love for writing. Late last year, I watched a video which was about something along the lines of « 10 reasons of the success of J.K Rowling » or something like that  and let me tell you it was such an enlighting video. Anyway, in one of her interviews she said that in order to become a successful writer you have to read books and a lot, a lot, a lot of books. She did say more about the topic and sounded very convincing but I just relayed the short version. So long story short, I have to read as much as I can in order to develop my writing skills.

To keep this post concise and short (thank God for that, I hear you), I have decided that my reading challenge should consist of reading minimum of 12 books (the way I thought about it was I’d read one book a month if I can’t keep up) and maximum of 20 books. It’s a short goal but for 2016 we’re going to start light and hopefully we’ll increase the amount next year, we shall see ( I am actually thinking of increasing it these days). Furthermore, I have decided to read out of the 12 or 20 books : The Harry Potter books. They are a total of 7 books and yes I haven’t read them all yet although I am the biggest fan of the movies. The short story version is that one day when I was very young and clueless, I saw my cousin reading them and I was like no way I would read 300 or 400 pages and it stuck in my mind ( When you’re young and clueless ! ) so I never looked back.

So far I have read 10 books so I am on the right path (big round of applause anyone) and with the extra time I’ll have next school year (hopefully) I might ( finger crossed) surpass my goal. This is one of the best decision I have made in my life and I feel true joy and pride whenever I read and finish a book. Not to mention that I am learning so much out of the authors and inspiration just keeps on flooding.

My TBR list is humongous that include many classics and « are you serious ? you should have read this book already » kind of books but honestly it’s never too late and this just adds to the excitement.

Whether it’s one book or a hundred, reading is a beautiful intimate experience that add so much to you spirtually, emotionally, mentally, in terms of your knowledge.. though not so much physically nor socially (if you get what I am saying).

Jokes aside, if  somehow you happen to be reading this, join me on this journey and start a reading challenge of your own.

5 Sitcoms to Binge-watch ASAP

Welcome back ;)
I have been wanting to start this blog series since I have started my blog years ago but I hesitated every single time thinking it won’t be interesting enough or just straight up lame, but you know what: This is one of my favorite topics to discuss and it’s about time I share my favorite tv shows to binge-watch here on the blog.If you’re not familiar with the term binge watching,it’s basically watching several episodes,a season or more in one setting and for some, they might hate the side effects it generate afterwards but I just absolutely love getting sucked in a different world with amazing characters and plots for a while and I am sure I am not the only one and this post is for you.

So this blog series will be themed in sense that everytime I’ll be suggesting 5 tv shows that belongs to a certain category, they might be shows that you are already familiar with or shows you’ve never heared of.Either way,I hope you will enjoy it.

To kick off these series,I’ll be mentioning 5 of my all time favorite sitcoms that will get you to laugh out loud. These shows are hilarious and have unique characters that don’t fail at delivering the best punchlines.Without overdue, here’s my short list (but not the only list) of the sitcoms you need to binge watch ASAP :

1.The Big Bang Theory :

This first show I have never had to binge watch since I started it from the very beginning and I have watched it every week since and it’s without a doubt my favorite show of all time. It follows at first two introverted roommates scientists : Sheldon, a man with a very brilliant mind but a very quirky behavior that triggers the best laughs in the show and Leonard a smart guy that tries to be outgoing and social despite sheldon’s rude behavior. They have two friends : Howard, an engineer whose attempts to talk to women are so wrong and Rajesh who can barely speak to them. One day,Penny a beautiful waitress and a complete opposite of these scientists, moves in across the hall and their life changes forever. The show is full of sarcasm, awkwardness, geeky and scientific metaphors and just overall awesomeness. You definitely need to start it right away.Go ahead, don’t finish reading this post, you need this show in your life, like NOW.

2.Friends :

A classic and a hilarious sitcom that you need to watch just for the sake of the references you might encouter in pop culture in general. The show follows six friends : Rachel Green, Ross Geller, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing and Phoebe Buffay who live in New York in the most iconic apartement  and hang out in the most iconic cafe in tv history and encounter daily life and love problems in comedic way. Each character has its quirks and unique traits and I just have to put this out there : Chandler is my favorite ; his sarcasm wins my heart everytime.I think I had you at classic so you better be downloading the first episode by now.

3.The Office :

This show brings me so much happiness that most normal things don’t.It has without a question the most unique sense of humour I have seen and it’s the best thing ever. It’s shot in the same style as a documentary but it’s really a parody and it follows the lives of the manager and the employees of a paper company with a crew following and interviewing them over the daily events that occur within the company. It has so many great and funny characters, you will have a hard time choosing your favorite one and the camera movement on the employees reactions is enough to make you laugh out loud. Not to mention that the pranks in the show are gold.

4.Park and Recreation :

If you love the office or what’s written above got your attention then you love this show too. It’s shot in a smiliar way and in similar concept but with much more brighter tone and a different plot. The show follows Leslie Knope,a deputy director of the park department and its employees on their daily projects within the department.Note that you have to stick through the first season (6 episodes) because it is a little slow at first but then just after that it gets better and better, episode after epsiode until you’ll feel sucked into the world of Leslie Knope.

5.Fresh Prince of Bel-air :

Who would of thought Will Smith can be incredibly hilarious ? He definitely nails this show and yes it’s pretty old as it aired in the 90’s but that was a great era in fashion, music and overall entertainment.Anyhow, the show centers around Will Smith who comes from a tough neighborhood and is sent by his mother to live with his aunt and her family in Bel Air, a very rich and bourgeois world where he clashes with the lifestyle there creating hilarious moments. Bare with the low image quality you might find but trust me you won’t mind cause you’ll be busy laughing.

Lastly, what do these shows have in common ? A great opening theme song you will definitely find yourself dancing to which is always a great bonus.
Happy Bingewatching my friends !

5 youtube channels to learn something everyday

Welcome Back :)

There’s more to this world than what we learn at school or what we hear as whispers from our surroundings. Have you ever stop to wonder why?  What?  Where? When ? Or How? about something that you perceive as mundane but can hold so many secrets to its foundation. Have you ever stop to wonder how the world as we know it came to be ? Or tried to figure out from what you know, which on is a misconception and which one is the truth ?

What would happen if you didn’t sleep? Do animals have language? Why do your knuckles pop? What happens inside a colony of ant ? Why do we cry or why do we laugh? What percentage of brain do we use? Why yawning is contagious? How does your immune system works? What is a recession or hyperinflation or even an inflation? How can the death of bees affect the planet ?The answer to these questions and more can help us understand the world around us but also within us.

Knowledge is like a sea,it has no beginning nor an end.It doesn’t just resemble it in its width but also in it’s depth. There’s so much to learn in this world yet we can live our whole life and learn only a fraction of it,that does mean that we shoudn’t try.I have for you 5 great youtube channels suggestions to quench your thirst of knowledge :

Here we go !

1.Ted-ed :

I am so addicted to this channel,it’s not even funny.Vivid animation, great narration and amazing content : What more to ask for ? It ranges from existential questions to history lessons to random topics providing an easy to follow and detailed explanation that will keep you clicking for more and more videos,at least that's my case.

2.Matthew Santoro :

A different kind of videos but nonetheless very entertaining.Matthew’s videos range from 10 craziest … to 50 amazing facts to 5 myth you used to believe about…and more fun content. Matthew provides all the facts necessary to cover the topic but with a funny approach as he is very hilarious.Learning has never been more fun.

3.CrashCourse :

Created and hosted by the vlogbrothers, one of my favorite people on youtube. They cover everything from economics to biology to astronomy, history and physics .These videos are about topics you might have studied or are studying in school but thrown and concised in a 10 min video hint the name “crashcourse”.Hank,John Green and other wonderful human beings play the role of a professor, providing thorough explanation with clear and easy to understand examples.Trust me , you’ll learn more in their 10 min videos than you wil llearn in your whole school year.

4.ASAP science :

Questions like : “Why do we like our own farts?” “Can you trust your own eyes?” “Does being cold make you sick?” “What does your pee say about you ?”  and more quirky questions are discussed in this channel. With less than a 3 minute video animated by writing and drawing on a board (but very nicely),the content of Asap science is both fun and interesting to know.

5. Marouane Lamharzi Alaoui - التاريخ لي ماقرّاوناش

This is more of a recent segment in the youtube channel of Marouane Lamharzi Alaoui which I had to mention. It translates roughly to “The history we weren’t taught” which I think is a genius name but also can’t be more accurate.Marouane takes us through parts of the Moroccan history, enriching us with valuable information and details we weren’t actually taught in school basing his content on many sources which by the way I applaud his great efforts in research and combining it together to create a great content. He has only four episodes until now and yes they are in Arabic except one which is subtitled in English.Give it a go and support him so he can be able to make more.

Awaken the curiosity within you and enjoy finding out more about the world.

3 free apps to help you meditate daily

Welcome back :)

If you ask me why speak about meditation? I’ll tell you because it’s the medicine for the soul, the mind and the heart. In my opinion, there's nothing that meditation can’t help you do or at least contribute in somehow.  As you might have heard before I am sure, this ancient practice helps to clear the head, create balance between your mind and your heart, ease and decrease your anxiety, teach you many valuable life lessons such as love, forgiveness, tolerance, patience…It also helps with health issues and so many other amazing and important benefits that will fulfill and guide you through life.

Aren't thoses reasons enough to include meditation in your daily routine ?

Just 10 minutes,10 minutes is all you need to get this done.It allows you to devote time only for yourself where you get to connect and listen to yourself,a time where you leave all your issues behind to gain from the experience a fresh take on life and an energy so fresh and powerful, you’ll sail through life easily. But most importantly and I can’t stress this enough, you’ll learn to love yourself and isn’t that the greatest and hardest achievement ?

Now if I came close to convincing you to start meditating, you’ll be even more delighted to know that there are apps with great features to help you do exacty that. When I found out about this a few months ago,I was stunned but mostly happy but then again there’s an app for everything these days.I have tried three free apps (yes you re read it right, free) and I’m going to tell you all about it.
Truth be told, I have struggled to dedicate time to do this every day  but as time goes on you’ll find that meditating will become a special habit.

       1.Headspace :

This app is created by Andy Puddicombe who is a meditation and mindfulness expert. To use this app fully is not totally free but just hear me out. When downloading this app,you get 10 free sessions with “take 10” to teach you the very basics of meditation. When that is up,you subscribe to benefit from 100 of hours of content about creativity, relationships and performance with different type of sessions. Andy takes you through the sessions with clear and simple instructions that will help you learn tips and tricks for a healthier mind.

      2. Petit bambou (french app)

This one offers 8 sessions of 10 min but with a different type of narration. Each session takes you through a lesson either by telling you a story or simply talking about it.What I love the most about this app is the technique used to help you meditate but also the narration of the woman makes it more relaxing and encouraging to keep up with the habit. It feels like the voice is talking to your subconscious and whatever it’s saying is imprinting into it.

       3.Sattva :

This app is not like the ones above and I really love it.First of all,the sessions are about 20 min and not limited as you find free numerous recording or as they call them “guided meditations”.
Every session is particular, some have sounds and others have different themes like “journey within” or “transforming emotions” or “gratitude meditation” or “loving kidness meditation “ and so on and on.This app is a meditation track and timer since it keeps up with your activities within the app and it also let you share your results with your friends.

Your Self-fulfillment journey is awaiting.Start it with meditation.
