This is yet another show that came out this year and it really blew my mind.
How to get away with murder follows a criminal law professor and lawyer Annalise Keating, who selects a group of her best students to assist her in her firm and teach them how to get away with murder.In every episode,they take and work on many cases but through the whole show,there's one particular murder that almost ruin their lives and create plain chaos.
This show may revolve around law,trials and lawyers but it's not boring in the slightest.How to get away with murder is an absolute roller coaster with cliff hangers,twists and turns.When it comes to mystery and thriller,this show definitely delivers.
I have never liked law before though it's one of my subjects at school this year but the way Annalise "rolls" in the court room is exciting.She may take unrealistic measures to defend her client but boy it is entertaining to watch her do so.You just want to be her or at least have her as your mentor.
Shonda Rhimes is known for creating badass female characters (Olivia Pope anyone ?) and this is no exception.Viola Davis protrays the role brillantly and gives one of her powerful performances yet.I will never forget this scene where she removes her wig and makeup.This simple act demonstrated her audacity as an actress and the vulnerability of her character as a powerful woman and attorney.Hats off indeed...
